New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a rape case registered on the complaint of a 43-year-old woman in the Keshav Puram area. The accused has been identified as Vikas, a resident of Tri Nagar, Delhi.
According to the police, the woman alleged that the accused took her to his residence on the pretext of getting her eyes examined. She further alleged that after reaching the house, she was rendered unconscious, following which she was sexually assaulted.
FIR Registered on Woman’s Complaint
Following the complaint, Keshav Puram Police registered an FIR under relevant sections of law and initiated an investigation. The police subsequently arrested the accused in connection with the case.
Investigation Underway
Police officials said the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated and evidence is being collected. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
