Tragic Triple Homicide Rocks Vishnulok Colony

In the quiet Raipur area of Dehradun, a shocking incident left three lives cut short. An 80‑year‑old man, Ramesh Kapoor, his 75‑year‑old wife Rajni Kapoor, and 48‑year‑old domestic worker Tiliya Devi – known locally as Sheila – were found dead after a dispute with a plumber escalated into violence.

Police Narrative: Payment Row Turns Deadly

According to the investigation, the accused, identified as Rajkumar, had been called to the Kapoor residence for routine plumbing work. After completing the job, a disagreement over the final payment allegedly erupted. The confrontation turned violent, and the senior couple was attacked. Sheila, who heard the commotion while working in a nearby house, rushed to intervene and was also assaulted.

All three victims were rushed to Coronation Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.

Suspect Apprehended by Neighbours

Following the murders, Rajkumar attempted to flee the neighbourhood. Alert residents intercepted him and handed him over to the police. Authorities confirmed that the man hails from Bijnor and had been residing in Indresh Nagar, Dehradun. His repeated visits to the Kapoor home meant he was familiar with the family’s routine.

Police have taken Rajkumar into custody and are piecing together the exact sequence of events that led a payment dispute to turn fatal.
