New Delhi. A case of alleged sexual assault of a Class 6 student inside a shop has come to light in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar area. Police have arrested the 56-year-old accused, Maqsood. An investigation into the incident is underway.
According to the police, the student had gone out to purchase stationery items. It is alleged that the accused detained her inside the shop, tied her hands and feet, and sexually assaulted her.
Based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against the accused at the women’s police station under sections related to rape, the POCSO Act, and wrongful confinement.
Police arrested Maqsood on Friday. Further investigation is underway, and police are collecting evidence in connection with the allegations.
