Dehradun. On the occasion of his birthday on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) to share the joy of the day with the children studying there. The Chief Minister cut a cake with the children and spent time with them in a warm and affectionate manner.
The children appeared excited to have the Chief Minister among them. Dhami interacted with the children, encouraged them, and wished them a bright future. The atmosphere at the institute was filled with warmth, affection, and a sense of togetherness.
The Chief Minister said that every child possesses talent and immense potential. He said their abilities can be nurtured by providing them with the right opportunities, encouragement, and confidence. He emphasized that the empowerment of persons with disabilities is not merely the responsibility of the government but a collective responsibility of society as a whole.
He encouraged the children to pursue their goals with self-confidence, determination, and consistent effort. Dhami emphasized that it is everyone's responsibility to ensure equal opportunities, dignity, and a supportive environment for every individual in society.
Dhami said that spending time with children gives him new energy and inspiration. He described their affection and the happiness on their faces as the most special and memorable gifts of his birthday.
The Chief Minister's wife, Smt. Geeta Pushkar Dhami, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, and teachers from the institute were also present on the occasion.
