Auli. During the ongoing ‘Yudh Abhyas 2026’ exercise in Auli, Uttarakhand, soldiers from the Indian and US armies participated in joint training focused on counter-terrorism operations. As part of the exercise, the two armies conducted various drills aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and coordination under challenging conditions.
During the joint training, soldiers carried out building-clearance and room-intervention drills designed to simulate close-quarters combat situations. Various teams demonstrated their capabilities while working in coordination with one another.
Drones, robotic dogs, dog squads, and sniper teams were also deployed during the exercise. The drills demonstrated how trained personnel can work in coordination with modern technological resources during counter-terrorism operations.
US Army personnel also interacted with Indian soldiers and examined the equipment being used during the exercise. They observed the demonstrations to gain a better understanding of the techniques and operational capabilities being showcased.
The exercise aims to facilitate the exchange of military experience, strengthen strategic understanding, and enhance the ability of the two armies to operate together. Through the joint training, soldiers from both countries are also gaining insights into each other’s operational procedures and modern combat techniques.
